Our journey to Lord Howe Island has begun. I’ve reached Warsaw, the capital of Poland at early morning hours on Friday. Pete SQ9DIE and Kasia should gather here the city at late evening, too. We depart for London Heathrow airport tomorrow before local noon, and then at 22.00 UK time (20.00z) for Sydney. We will also be joined by Vicky SV2KBS there. No way you will miss a short photo-story when we’ll all meet together for the very first time! There’s a long journey in front of us. Winter day in mid March in the Bieszczady mountains, PolandSnow falls in Lesko, South-East of Poland, the day before departing for LHIJust a few days ago we have a nice short but sunny day in the Bieszczady Mountains (Northern Carpathians, South-East of Poland). Then winter stoke back! Step by step we start to look at our Polish, miserable, greyish and still winter-like weather. And we wonder how shall we accept that sudden “teleportation” to warmer VK-land that fast. The picture in left hand (taken with my cell, sorry…) shows my home town Lesko at the departure day. Temp. -5°C, snowing. You couldn’t see the world any farther at all… Stay tuned for updates as the journey follows…
